Ecuador Pacific Road Tour 5 Days

ECUADOR PROGRAM IN MOMPICHE ~ CANOA ~ PUERTO LOPEZ ~ MONTAÑITA 

Day 1. QUITO ~ ESMERALDAS: MOMPICHE 

• Departure from Quito, from your hotel in a private car with English speaking driver or  shared shuttle,  to the Pacific Coast via the cloud forest region of Mindo. Arrival at the coastal province of Esmeraldas, at Pedernales, local lunch and possible 1st swim in the Pacific Ocean. Later we continue by the famous Ruta del Pacifico ecuatoriano to the beach town of Mompiche. Dinner and overnight stay in a 1st Class beachfront hotel resort, with pool, jacuzzi (all inclusive plan) located by the ocean, in front of Portete Island.

Day 2. MOMPICHE ~ MANABI: CANOA BEACH                            

• Morning beach activities in Mompiche, in order to enjoy the facilities and the activities of the resort, a walk by the spectacular Portete Island, surrounded by lovely palm trees. Buffet Lunch. Afterwards we continue on the Pacific rout to the 3rd beach stop in the province of Manabi: Canoa Beach, as Mompiche this beach is favored by surfers for its beautiful waves. Dinner in local restaurant or in the hotel. Overnight stay in a Superior class hotel with pool, by the ocean.

Day 3. CANOA BEACH ~ PUERTO LOPEZ                                

• Time to enjoy Canoa Beach, its surroundings, beach stroll, watching surfers.  Later we continue the Pacific route or route of the sun to the port city of Manta. The largest in Manabi. Lunch in a typical restaurant and tour of Manta, and its port. 
• Later drive to Parque Nacional de Machalilla (Machalilla National Park), the small beachtown of Puerto López.  Dinner and overnight stay in a panoramic tourist hotel with pool and oceanview (in superior room).

Day 4. PUERTO LOPEZ ~ MONTAÑITA                                

• Excursion day to Isla de La Plata on boat and by pie foot with snorkeling with local guide and box lunch.  Or to choose: (between June and September), Midday boat excursion to see and observe Hump Whales during mating season. Return to Puerto López and lunch in a local restaurant. And visit and swimming in lovely playa de Los Frailes  beach or a visit to the Aguas Blancas community, an archeological site and therepeautic mud baths. Short transfer to the famous beachtown of Montañita, most favored by surfers and the youth of the Americas.  Dinner and overnight stay in a 1rst class hotel with pool, by the beach. Depending on the day, a very lively and recommended night stroll on the town.

Day 5. MONTAÑITA ~ SALINAS ~ GUAYAQUIL (OR QUITO) 

• Last breakfast in front of the Pacific Ocean. Later end to the Ruta Del Sol and the last stop, the beachtown of Salinas. Possible last swim in the ocean, tour and last lunch on the coast. Short transfer to the largest coastal city and port in Ecuador: Guayaquil (or by request transfer/flight to Quito). If possible, panoramic tour of Guayaquil. Transfer to hotel or to airport.
