Ecuador Amazon and Kayaking Tour 4 Days

AMAZON PROGRAM IN SUPERIOR LODGE

Day 1. QUITO ~ AMAZON: HOLLIN RIVER ~ HIKE FOREST

Early in the morning, depart from your hotel in Quito and drive towards the Amazon, up to Tena-Archidona region, the beautiful Jondachi-Hollin river bank. Arrival at the Lodge, with swimming pool and Amazonian welcome drink: "Guayusa". Then hike to “Guitarracocha” trail. Lunch in the lodge. Then walk along “Ushpayacu” trail to enjoy a scenic landscape. Chocolate Making. Dinner and overnight stay in the lodge.

Day 2. AMAZON: DUCKY KAYAKING OR RAFTING(*) EXPEDITION

Breakfast at the lodge. Transfer to Mondayacu Indigenous Community, at Jondachi river. Then hiking in the jungle up to the Grand Canon. Safety briefing about Ducky kayaking or Rafting. Then ducky kayaking or rafting down Jondachi river (levels IV) for 2 hours. Lunch in a river beach. Then you will continue Kayaking or rafting down the river Hollin for 2h30 more. Arrival at Santo Domingo community then transfer back to the lodge.
Dinner and overnight stay in the lodge.

Day 3. AMAZON: CANOE SAFARI ~ CULTURAL NIGHT

Breakfast at the Lodge. Transfer to Misahualli and canoe Safari in the river. Visit to the Giant Ceibo Tree, to an Organic Chocolate Farm. Chocolate or Coffee Break and transfer to the lodge. Lunch. Leisure time and swim in the pool.
Cultural night, with preparation and degustation of a delicious “chontacuro” and other typical Kichwa dishes. Dinner by candlelight, with the peaceful sound of the Hollín River.

Day 4. AMAZON: BIRD WATCHING ~ QUITO

Bird watching early in the morning and breakfast in the Lodge.

Hike to the natural oils trail, the project of natural essential oil extraction from Amazonian plants for medicine and aromatherapy. You can join reforestation initiative and plant a tree!
Lunch and check out. Drive back to Quito.

(*) KAYAKING/RAFTING RESTRICTIONS:

Minimum age: 8 years old depending on the child's weight and not possible for persons with Respiratory problems or Cardiovascular diseases.

The Activities of this program may change according to the lodge and weather conditions.
